IVY 2026 Launch
On December 5, the world celebrates International Volunteer Day (IVD). This year’s #IVD2025 marks the global launch of the International Volunteer Year (IVY) 2026 and carries a powerful message: #EveryContributionMatters – reminding us that every act of service, big or small, can spark real change.
Through Resolution 78/127, the United Nations General Assembly calls on civil society, the private sector, and academia to actively observe #IVY2026 alongside Member States and UN system organizations. Let’s make 2026 the year we recognize and celebrate volunteers’ vital role in turning global goals into local action.
